About OnCourse International
OnCourse International, LLC (OCI) is the umbrella organization for Jim
Warner and a team of independent associates who inspire and guide CEOs, business
executives, professionals and their spouses as they navigate difficult personal,
interpersonal and vocational transitions.
Our work is a blend of:
- Small group retreat facilitation
- Life Transition retreats and follow-on coaching for individuals and couples
- Corporate coaching, planning, team building and mediation
- Inspirational and educational keynotes and workshops.
Jim Warner and his OnCourse teammates are uniquely gifted to inspire and
guide committed individuals, couples and small groups into and through
core-level, whole-life change. We help stuck, blocked or struggling
high-achievers face and resolve issues around:
- Their identity
- Their relationships (marital, parents and extended family, children, work environment, friends)
- Their vocation
- Their spiritual pursuits.
We inspire them toward:
- Deeper personal awareness
- Authentic, intimate relationships
- A passionate life purpose
- Spiritual connection.
YPO / WPO Forums and Other Small Group Retreats
Jim Warner and the OnCourse Associates regularly facilitate multi-day retreats for YPO and WPO member and spouse forums, executive teams, and other small groups who seek to build a safe, intimate community where members can explore the deep issues in their lives. At these retreats the facilitators also help the group address and resolve internal conflict or dysfunction.
OnCourse retreats and trainings help participants evoke greater self-awareness and often lead to transformative change in their lives. Discussions andexperiences are developed around "heart-level" topics such as members':
- Identity (both personal and professional)
- Personal mission statement and sense of destiny
- Marriages and sexuality
- Family relationships
- Parenthood
- Life transitions
- Spirituality, peace, contentment, significance and fulfillment
- Friendships and relationships with others
- Passions and emotions including fear, anger, sadness and joy
- Blind spots and "shadows"
- Life balance.
These retreats are typically 2-3 days in length and are held at a retreat center, private residence or conference hotel which offers privacy for the group, and access to nature (trails, streams, lakes, woods, beach, desert, mountains).

Transformational Retreats and Follow-On Coaching
Jim Warner offers customized "Whole Life Audit" retreats where from one to four participants, as individuals or couples, meet with Jim and a co-facilitator in a reflective setting to develop a plan for transitioning their lives toward greater fulfillment, meaning, passion and joy.
Structured as a blend of experiential, life-sharing, issue-exploring exercises, participants leave with deeper personal awareness and the beginnings of a no-nonsense, personal transition blueprint for transforming their lives from success to significance – from disillusionment to destiny.
Before looking upward and outward (i.e., "What's next?") participants look downward and inward – examining the pivotal experiences and periods of their lives that have shaped who they are and how they approach opportunities and problems.
Participants then develop a "situation analysis" of their lives – where they are today – including the issues and dilemmas being faced, what they would like their lives to look like, and what is blocking them from getting there. Each participant then begins to craft his or her own personal transition blueprint – a set of specific, measurable resolution statements and action plans for addressing and resolving outstanding issues. The issues may be personal (identity, life purpose), vocational, marital, family-of-origin, financial or spiritual.
After these retreats most participants enter into a multi-month coaching relationship with an OnCourse Associate to anchor the participants' changes, monitor the participants' action plans and help the participant with inevitable course corrections.

The Foundation of This Work
Both the small group facilitation work and the individual counseling assume
that participants are open to deeper personal awareness, and yearn for increased meaning and significance in their lives. Participants also seek greater intimacy and friendship – a sense of community – with other men and women. As part of both self-discovery and community-building, participants are open to exploring their spiritual life. They seek a sense of peace, destiny and surrender, grounded in knowing and experiencing God. People from many religious traditions, including no beliefs, have found the spiritual dimension of OnCourse programs to be both eye-opening and transformative.
Client Engagements
Most engagements, whether a small group retreat, a personal transformation retreat, or a speaking engagement, begin with a telephone call to Jim or an OnCourse Associate to discuss the group's or client's specific needs. During either this initial call or a subsequent interview, we jointly determine if we have a fit, confirm the engagement dates and determine the fees.
Both small group retreats and personal transformation retreats are attended by committed participants who devote themselves to the processes, experiences and celebrations custom-developed by the OnCourse team for the specific event.
Common Issues Among OnCourse Clients
All participants desire deeper personal awareness and a sense of meaning and passion in their lives. Small group participants yearn for deeper community. In addition, participants face some combination of the following issues:
- I have no idea what is next in my life; I have only a vague sense of life purpose, mission, destiny or passion.
- My career is my identity.
- I always have to be "on".
- My life is being run on a treadmill.
- My marriage needs revitalization.
- I desire deeper relationships with people who won’t judge me.
- I need friends who will be truthful.
- I need to make peace with my past.
- I would like to know God better.
- I desire greater intimacy with my spouse, family, friends and God.
- I long to experience grace and joy.
