Executive Team Retreats
Take
A Step Back – Move Forward Faster!
Once or twice
each year, your Senior Leadership needs to “get away” from day-to-day
operations. Together, you must assess results, celebrate successes, recalibrate
direction and strategy, and reconnect with one another. Often, these executive
offsites are seminal events in your organization’s evolution.
The time you
invest in these executive retreats is precious. Venue selection, goals, tone
and agenda deserve thoughtful preparation and skilled facilitation. Three
important goals at every offsite are for your Executive Team to:
·
Know one
another on a deeper level
·
Structure
more authentic, synergistic and effective communication, and
·
Encourage
strategic planning, brainstorming and decision-making among team members.
All OnCourse
retreats are carefully planned to achieve these goals. Typically, we ask you to
complete pre-retreat homework, which guides us in customizing the agenda to
address the most pertinent challenges you face. We also interview a subset –
sometimes all – of your associates, to understand both the primary and latent
issues they face, and the interpersonal dynamics within your leadership team.
Many
executive teams – whether on their very first offsite or after years of
experience – benefit from sharing stories, issues and personal aspirations in a
non-judgmental setting. They value the safety, candor and mutual support the
offsite environment offers. Grounded in trust and respect, an OnCourse
Executive Retreat can move into a bold, free-wheeling exploration of vision,
direction, strategy, corporate culture and organizational change. Best of all,
the experiential bent of all OnCourse retreats shifts your group from mere
learning to deeper understanding, discovery and growth.
OnCourse
retreat sessions interweave all elements of the Authentic Relationships model,
tailored specifically to the Executive Team. We deal cleanly and directly with
any issues that drain energy from team members or have mired them in the past.
We also address the Executive Team’s role – as individuals and as a group – in
realizing and perpetuating the company’s long-term vision, both culturally and
strategically.
