Personal Life Assessment
Almost all personal transformation engagements begin with a Personal Life
Assessment - an extensive consultation with either Jim Warner or an OnCourse Associate.
Prior to the consultation you'll be asked to complete some "homework" on your life situation, along with the Leadership Skills and Shadows Assessment (LSSA).
The Personal Life Assessment may be conducted either in person or by telephone. During the consultation Jim or an OnCourse Associate will get a feel for your background, and the issue or dilemma that caused you to contact us. Based on this
Assessment and your homework, we'll then ask some penetrating questions about the patterns we see in your life, what you want to change, and the level of risk and commitment you are willing to make to explore and transform your situation. We'll also get a feel for your current support structure (friends, family, small group, accountability partners, therapists, recovery group).
During the Personal Life Assessment we'll both assess the chemistry "fit" between us … whether we want to work together or not. If a fit seems to exist, we'll explore next stage self-exploration and transformational engagements. Typically, committed clients will retain us for a
multi-day Life Transformation Retreat, where we explore in depth your issues or place of "stuckness," and develop the basics of a plan to resolve the issues or help you get "unstuck." Depending on the level of your local support, the
Life Transformation Retreat usually includes 3-6 months of ongoing support and
mentoring with an OnCourse Associate.
Sometimes, after the Personal Life Assessment, we'll refer you to resources (trainings, retreats, readings, seminars, workshops) outside of the OnCourse network. If we don't believe we can help you, we'll refer you to someone who can.
Regardless of whether or not you retain us for ongoing engagements, the homework, LSSA and
Personal Life Assessment yield fresh insights, deeper clarity on your issues, and occasionally breakthroughs about your situation.
