Tom is an expert in guiding people, teams, and organizations through transitions and transformations. He has served for 30 years in a variety of roles within corporate enterprises, the nonprofit sector, and private practice. Since 1992 Tom has created his own unique brand of personal coaching and organizational consulting, encouraging and empowering growth and development at personal, interpersonal, small group, and institutional levels.
He now enjoys an international reputation for his pioneering work in multi-generational mentoring, whole-brain learning, and state-of-the-art mindfulness practices.
Tom has worked with YPOers since 1993 as a facilitator and ongoing advisor. In the non-profit sector, he has led over 100 experiential events for The ManKind Project, an international men’s organization devoted to mentoring men through difficult passages in their lives.
Tom has a deep calling toward Spiritual realization. As an ordained Rinzai Zen Priest, he currently mentors others in a wide variety of mindfulness practices. He is skilled at guiding high-achievers toward a life of grace, joy, and ease, while achieving and serving in the world.
His passion (and compassion) helps others establish and maintain a daily practice that works for them. He also specializes in the grieving process, helping clients who have lost loved ones.
Tom is a graduate of The University of Kansas, where he earned both BA and MA degrees in Communications. He lives in the hills near Berkeley, CA, with his wife, Rysa, and their daughter, Rylee, and son, Tory.
